Zirconium bars are produced by pressing, rolling, deforming, drawing.
Produced from zirconium ore concentrates or scrap.
Zirconium bar resists corrosion, breakage, wear and aging. It is not deformed during an abrupt change in temperature, shows high temperature and heat resistance at high temperatures, keeps cold breaks at cryogenic temperatures.
In contact with chlorinated and sea water, alkalis, acids and ammonia solutions does not warp or oxidize.
Absorbs and retains gamma radiation, does not have thermal conductivity, has the properties of a paramagnetic. When heated, the magnetic characteristics increase.
To strengthen and improve the quality of use, the bar is alloyed with hafnium, niobium, tantalum and tungsten. At the same time, the strength of the bar increases several times, and the plasticity is maintained.
Easy to cut, weld, bore and milled.
Can be pressure treated. Produced cast, cold rolled, pressed and forged.
