Molybdenum melting pot are refractory vessels with thick molybdenum walls that are used in high-temperature vacuum furnaces to melt various metallurgical products. The melting pot ensure the growth of different sized single crystals and the sintering of powder materials to a certain state. The molybdenum component is considered to be refractory, heat-resistant, resistant to oxides and corrosion, durable and clean.
In such bowls, casting, melting, distillation, silicon processing, refining, reduction and evaporation can be carried out. Molybdenum has a high degree of elasticity, strength of 9.4–9.8 g / cm3 and a small coefficient of thermal expansion. The purity of the chemical composition of the container reaches 99.95%. The working temperature range is 1400-1900 degrees Celsius. Being in a vacuum or a discharged atmosphere, melting pot are capable of withstanding up to 2450 degrees Celsius.
