Brass sheet is made from copper alloy with zinc alloying element. This type of metal is highly valued for its durability, reliability, resistance to corrosion and the influence of the aggressive environment. These qualities make it possible to use brass in mechanical engineering, various industries, parts manufacturing, outdoor advertising, internal and external decoration of buildings, etc.
Brass sheet features:
Brass sheets are perfectly processed with special tools, well soldered and welded. Therefore, polished brass sheets are used in the manufacture of plates and signs with engraving.
There are two types of brass sheets – hot and cold. The shape of the sheet attached to casting and deformation. In addition, in the production of additional heat treatment is used, if the material contains 15% zinc.
The thickness and material used brass sheets are divided into soft, semi-solid, hard and very hard.
Cold-rolled brass sheets are used for cutting and deep-forming and, in comparison with hot-rolled ones, are distinguished by higher plasticity. Hot rolled sheets are harder and more durable.
From hot-rolled sheets produce durable, wear-resistant parts that work in various mechanisms
Brass plates with special characteristics:
– with anti-magnetic properties
– for the food industry
– with maximum deviations in width and thickness
Cold rolled brass sheets are made of brass grades:Bs-Cu85, Bs-Cu80, Bs-Cu90, Bs-Cu68, Bs-Cu58Mn2, Bs-Cu59Pb1, Bs-Cu62Sn1, Bs-Cu63
A hot-rolled sheet is made from such grades of alloys: Bs-Cu58Mn2, Bs-Cu63, Bs-Cu59Pb1, Bs-Cu62Sn1
Thickness – from 3 mm to 25 mm
Minimum width – 100 mm, maximum – 3000 mm
