Wolfram sheets are flat rolled products made from wolfram multi-grade rods.
The sheet from wolfram possesses unique constructional characteristics. It is one of the most refractory metals in the world, with a low coefficient of thermal expansion. High anti-corrosion properties, chemical inertness in the gaseous medium, hardness and elasticity emit wolfram from the general list of rare metals.
To produce a sheet, the raw material is pressed, then heated and forged, the final raw material is subjected to shell rolling.
To connect several sheets together they usually use rivets, not welding.
All these products are characterized by high gamma-ray absorption. They have electrical resistance at 5.5 * 10-8 Ohm * m and a small coefficient of thermal expansion. Can be operated at high temperatures (up to 2500 ° C)
