According to Yieh.com, India may introduce an anti-dumping duty on certain types of steel from Brazil, China, and Germany.
The Ministry of Commerce conducted an investigation into the import of non-cobalt tool steel, which was imported from three of these countries for five years. Steel is used to make high speed steel tools.
The final decision on the introduction of the fee will be made by the Ministry of Finance. Steel products were exported to India from these countries below their normal price. The domestic steel industry suffered from dumping prices. Graphite India Limited (GIL) filed complaints with the government and demanded a duty on steel imports.
